HO-3: Special/Standard Home Insurance
The Special homeowners insurance policy is the most popular
homeowners insurance form according to the National
Association of Independent Insurers as it offers high protection
at relatively low premium rates.
The Special homeowners insurance form provides maximum protection
for dwellings. Any form of damage is covered except those specifically
excluded: flood, earthquake, war, nuclear accident, etc. You’ll
have to check your policy for a complete list of perils excluded and
insure against those perils by separate policies if needed. Coverage
for personal belongings is the same as with HO-2. Personal liability
is also covered.
